 When Dylan Scott started out in the insurance industry over twelve years ago, he was not surprised to discover he had a passion for the business; a passion that helps us continue on in his absence because he always had an insatiable desire to help people. Dylan felt great satisfaction in being a voice for those facing challenging circumstances and gained personal gratification by streamlining processes and designing creative solutions that enable long-term growth. We carry this same torch in his honor.

When he was a fledgling in the business, Dylan fielded countless insurance claim questions and concerns. This direct experience imparted understanding and empathy toward his client’s fears and expectations. When transitioned to sales, he discovered his knack for predicting potential problems and confidently proposed solutions to a wide variety of clients. Dylan had an advantage because of his natural talent for predicting risks, which enabled him to offer ideal and cost-effective solutions to his clients.

Dylan’s biggest challenge came when he began his career in shipping insurance: it was an entirely new language with many facets and much to learn. However, he had incredible industry mentors who not only taught him how to expertly navigate his clients through difficult circumstances but also to forge lasting relationships with leading E-commerce solution providers.

Dylan’s ultimate goal was to provide his clients with the same level of assurance, careful communication, due diligence, and transparency he would want for himself. He believed that every ounce of effort he performed behind the scenes translated into measurable simplicity for his clients, which developed strong and trusting partnerships.

In December 2021, Dylan passed away due to undiagnosed heart complications while he was working at his home office. Those of us fortunate enough to have known Dylan will miss what an extraordinarily special person he was. He was loyal and supportive to his business partners and colleagues. He was grateful and appreciative of the contribution and talent of others. He was incredibly generous with his time and attention.

Dylan Scott will be missed dearly. We cherish every moment we had with him and we hope that Parcel Protection lives up to Dylan's longstanding dream.
